About this property

Charming Cabin Lake Rights, Private Dock 3 bedroom, 2 bath. Sleeps 7.

Step back in time! Available May 15 - Oct 15. This rustic, cozy cabin from the 1920's is peaceful and charming. Sleeps 7. One bedroom has twin beds, the other a double and they share a full bath. Linens and towels provided. Great fireplace in living room. Wrap-around porch with twin bed and dining room. Third bedroom a couple of steps out the back door in a separate bunkhouse with double bed, 2nd bath nearby in main house. All furnished with country antiques. Very well equipped kitchen including new dishwasher, breakfast bar for 4. Lots of berry picking.
The cabin is set back from a dirt road on an acre of land. It is a ten minute walk down to the lake, or a short drive(no water views). It is a private association lake, very quiet as no jet-skis are allowed. We have our own dock and lake front, plus a swimming platform. There is a canoe, rowboat, and paddle boat for tenants use. Lake is stocked for fishing.
The cabin is very family friendly and has many amenities for children: swing set, sandbox, toys, games and videos, basketball hoop, 14' enclosed trampoline and horseshoe pit. Crib and highchair also available.
Well behaved pets are welcome. Please note that the pet fee is $25 per pet PER NIGHT, which won't be reflected in the quote. I will amend when you tell me whom you're bringing along!

Many hiking trails right off the property. We also have a selection of bikes for adults and kids. The area is very rural and has beautiful scenery. Norwich Lake is located 20 minutes from the cultural center of Northampton, a thriving University town with much to offer: theater, arts, great dining, antiquing.
Note: For domestic bookings a 3% credit card fee will be added above the quote from homeaway, for international the credit card fee is 5%.

4th of July Vacation
We booked this cottage for a quick 4th of July getaway. The cottage had everything we needed for our stay. We grilled every night on the charcoal grill, we brought our own charcoal, I don’t believe it is provided. We also enjoyed smores at the fire pit. Plenty of towels and sheets available which was convenient. The lake is about a 15 min walk down the hill, great dock with a bunch of toys and shaded areas to sit. The walk back up the hill isn’t as intimidating as it seems. We also drove down and found a pull off area on the right side of the road before the dock. Also enjoyed the DVD selection and games when it rained. Definitely would stay again!

Cozy and delightful lake cabin
This lovely little lake cabin was clean and cozy, and suited my family very well. It was fun and eclectic in its decoration and well-stocked with a good variety of useful things, including plenty to keep the kids entertained (they made the trampoline their own little kingdom =). The location and boating on the lake were the stars of the show, though. We loved it! The host, Michelle, was very kind and gave lots of good information. We had a wonderful time, and would definitely stay here again in the future.

Great place but a bit of a hike to the lake
We really enjoyed this well-appointed spacious cottage. Michelle was generous and responsive and we had a wonderful time. We were meeting for a family reunion and hosted a BBQ for 20-30 people at the cottage one evening. There was plenty of room outside; the grill, picnic table, and fire pit were perfect, with plenty of seating and the trampoline and horseshoes were great for the kids. What would have made the cottage absolutely perfect would have been easier lake access. The dock and boats and float make it easy to enjoy the lake, but they are down the road and hill a ways so you have to plan the trip. Parking is a bit tricky and we found it easier to walk, but it takes about 15 min each way and the hill on the way back will meet your cardio workout requirements. All in all, though, we really enjoyed our stay and wished we could have stayed longer!

Charming cabin
We had a wonderful time in this cozy rustic getaway. Our day trips around Massachusetts were topped off by peaceful evenings in the cabin warmed by the fire. This is a charming cabin. We hated to leave.
