Why Charlotte and Chris Cornell chose Whitstable
You couldn't get more central than this apartment in Whitstable. It is right in the centre of the conservation area and has literally a butcher, a baker and a candlestick maker on the doorstep!

Lovely new year
Lovely stay at the captains view, little issue with wrong key code on checkin but quickly resolved, would definitely recommend
Wonderful relaxing stay
This place is my ‘great escape’! We love it and its on 35 mins from our home but might as well be a million miles away. Next to the sea, in the best part of the high street, steeped in history, quirky and right in the heart of Whitstable town. Its our second visit but this time, we stayed with our older teenage boys between christmas and new year. The fairy lights in and outside all the shops made our view from this apartment magical and the little christmas tree in the apartment was a lovely touch although a bit sparse. The apartment is modern and spotless with three loo’s, two showers and one huge indulgent bath! The apartment has everything you will need although I wouldn't recommend trying to cook too much, the cookers are there but personally I couldn't work out how to use them, but I'm not used to electric and tbh I was on holiday and didn't want to put that much effort in. I did follow instructions for the Induction hob and it was good but even with the extractor going the place was very smoky and steamy after cooking breakfast, so I'm not sure you would want to cook a proper dinner? The main bedroom on the first level is huge with an amazingly huge beautifully designed en-suite to match, the shower is impressive but needs better water pressure to compliment its luxury body jet power shower.
The upstairs bedrooms are a small(ish), the double bedroom has a door and the single small bedroom is where the stairs enter so no door to the room and exposed to a staircase with low roof eves making the room and stairs difficult for tall people.
My 6ft 5, sixteen year old managed for three nights but it was hilarious watching him negotiate the stairs and crab stepping past the stair housing but he said his bed was very comfortable. Its worth considering who stays in the top two rooms have to come down a few steep wooden stairs to use a loo. Also, from the stairs is a door to a small outside, terrace area which could use a new table come this summer but will be glorious on a sunny evening to share a cold bottle of wine.
The photos are all true and show how modern and chic the apartment is but its definitely bigger than it looks in the photos.
I thoroughly recommend this lovely apartment and miss it already! 😢
Cute place perfect for a family or multiple couples
Stayed for Christmas with family and had a great time. Well designed and comfortable. Location great on Main Street. Good beds and good sheets and towels. What more do you need.
We were blown away with the apartment! It completely exceeded our expectations and the photos didn’t do justice to the size, space, cleanliness, decor and luxury of the apartment. The bathrooms were spotlessly clean and the jet shower was a huge hit with the children! The boys loved their bedrooms upstairs and the roof garden. The beds were so comfortable that we all enjoyed lie-ins both mornings! We were at a wedding at East Quay, so the location was perfect! We have recommended it to lots of friends and we’ll definitely return.
Lovely comfortable flat
It is our fourth year of staying at the flat, it is a lovely property which is furnished to a very high specification and very clean bathrooms are great, lovely and warm with luxurious white towels.
Only one gripe is the TV which we have found difficult to use if this was changed it would be brilliant.
Wonderful birthday treat
We had a wonderful time at this property. It’s located right in the heart of Whitstable, is spacious, clean and modern. We stayed with 2 adults and 2 children (9&7) and had everything we needed. I’ve used HomeAway several times and this property deserves every of the 5 stars.
If you look for peace and quiet in the countryside, this is probably not for you but if you like the buzz of nice restaurant and everything close by you need to come here.
Whitstable is a beautiful seaside town on the East Coast of Kent. The High Street is bustling with independent shops, Michelin-nominated restaurants, excellent pubs and more. You can buy fresh fish from the Harbour, watch world-class Sailing Regattas or walk/cycle the excellent coastal path from Whitstable to Margate. In the nearby countryside, apple orchards and oast houses abound. Within 10 miles you can find the world-renowned Canterbury Cathedral, the evocative ruins at Reculver and the beautiful film-location village of Chilham.
