cozy family-friendly vacation home a short walk from the beach
Why Suzette Iverson chose Copalis Beach
The Washington coast, while rarely warm, has amazing pristine, gorgeous, wide sandy beaches, with the bonus of very few people! We frequently find ourselves all alone on our neighborhood beach. This area feels like a secret gem - not too far by car from the Seattle-Tacoma area but with great access to world-class fly-fishing; phenomenal hiking; and kite-flying, beach-combing, sand-castle-building and every other beach activity you can think of. I have loved this area since I worked there years ago and am so excited to be able to visit often now.
What makes this House unique
We fell in love with our house right away when we saw how quiet and private it is. It is tucked in to the trees, with a great front patio for summer dining, and a cozy great room with wood fireplace and open concept kitchen.
100% refund if canceled at least 30 days before arrival date. 50% refund if canceled at least 14 days before arrival date.
We were looking to spend a couple days on n the peninsula while visiting Seattle, and this property served as a great home base. Our highlight was the walk to the beach to fly the kites available to borrow in the house, along with the fire in the backyard under the stars. Made a pancake breakfast to fuel up for a long day of hiking, and we were off! Wish we could’ve stayed longer.
Quiet coastal cabin
Wonderful place to unplug, relax, and enjoy the company of a great family. Peaceful location, yet close enough for all the beach fun!
Thank you for e everything place was great .. Definatly see you again
Get away from it all
This was a nice property. Everything was in good working order. There were lots of extras that were included (beach going things).
We were a little disappointed by the beach access. The property is 2 blocks from the access as the crow flies, however you must walk down and back to get to the access. It is also a hike once you get to the neighborhood access. The bridge across the intercoastal waterway was in need of repair.
Quiet and cozy. Nice get away.
Thank you for the quiet place. 5 to 10 minutes from everything. Even had a doe and her fawn walk right up to us to say hello. Literally 3 feet away. We thought it was pretty cool
Affordable house near fun activities
Our family of five had all we needed for a little getaway. Enjoyed the hike to the beach every day and rarely saw anyone else there (although we did see hoof prints one day we didn't see the horses either!) Explored Ocean Shores one day, drove to Quinault Rain Forest Trailhead for nice hiking, and drove up to Moclips the third day. Easy access to restaurants, and also plenty of equipment to make breakfast at the house every day and dinner too. Enjoyed hot coffee every morning, forcing a phone break for the teenager, and watched some DVDs. Games and toys aplenty for the younger kids. Oh, and cooked smores in the backyard one night and saw deer there the next morning :)
We are about 10-15 mins from Ocean Shores, which shops, restaurants and a movie theater. The house is about 3 hours away from SeaTac airport. It's about a 45 minute drive to the closest entrance to Olympic National Park, at Lake Quinault, which has amazing rainforest trails. From there, if you aren't intimidated by driving, you can head north to further explore Olympica National Park beaches and the north entrances. If you like to fish, it's only a 10-20 minute drive to excellent nearby fishing holes.
