About Evelyn Kelly
I started going to Rocky Point with my cousin from Phoenix in 2002 and feel in love the Sea of Cortez. Being from Los Angeles, I thought how great to an oceanfront property, so I jumped in and bought this condo in 2004 and did a complete remodel and casita add on in 2005. I have loved my condo and Rocky Point and the Mexican people.

This place is everything you want need or expect from a condo rental. It’s not super modern but it’s not outdated. It offers the best of what Mexico should be. Location is phenomenal and It’s so great to have Manny’s back up and better than ever. Clean comfortable and really feels safe. Love this location so much better than the sandy beach area. Quieter and still has that old time Mexico feel without forgetting it’s 2019!!
Labor Day Stay
Second time staying here. Close to Manny’s. Great beach. Unfortunately for the first time ever in Mexico we had items stolen off the patio. Maria’s breakfast burritos are always a must!
Everything we could have imagined!
Decided to to Mexico instead of San Diego for our family vacation this year. We even brought our dog, Daenerys; who couldn't get enough of the Ocean & being on the beach. This condo is just steps from Manny's , where there's always a meal and cocktails! Internet was decent, and everything you need for whipping up a meal yourselves is provided in the kitchen! AC was cold, linens were fresh. Garage door opener was a Plus!! Once you get the key from the lock-box, you go into the property and the opener is on the kitchen counter. The front door has a keyless entry so there's no need for the key unless you leave from the back patio, sliding doors exit. Beach was just STEPS away from the patio. We had no neighbors staying on either at the time of our visit- which was pretty cool and made things very private. I had the opportunity to check off an item from my bucket list- Riding an Arabian horse on the beach! Sweet Tully (Tollie? Not sure the spelling of the horses name)which made my kids and husband happy because I just love riding & have never had the chance to do so on the beach.(I was able to ride in the ocean too! Ocean waves all the way up to the saddle)It was a rush! It was EXTREMELY humid, which is what to expect in August! We rented the kids a couple of Kayaks for 3 days, which was cool.Waves were extremely choppy, but that is not something ANY of us can control. Only had to reach out to the property owner once- and it was a silly reason.(Couldn't figure out how to lock the keyless front door. The top lock from the inside needs to be vertical, not horizontal. FYI) There was a laundry room where there was extra charcoal for the grill, and REALLY nice lounger chairs and an umbrella for the sand. (Too windy for us to put up the umbrella though)I left some detergent, but I would advise IF you were staying for more than 4 days and thought you may need to use the washer, to bring a small detergent along. Coffee maker worked great!I forgot to bring creamer so that's my bad- but there was some sugar to mix in. They did have some starbucks coffee to use also. TV was GOOD size-including Direct TV channels.Netflix, Amazon, all that fun stuff is also an option by logging into your account since is Smart TV. I do wish there was a rug to brush off some sand from your feet inside the back patio entrance. There is however, a hose to rinse your feet off right there on the back patio. Also a hose by the front door. We'll b back in fall. Love, The Daniel's Fambam
We loved ❤️
Great experience. Highly recommend it. Very clean. 🔅
A Great Little Casita!
Love this property! We found it with no trouble, the casita is even better than the pictures show. The beach is gorgeous, peaceful, and quiet with tons of shells. Our boys especially loved the tide pools that magically appeared during low tide. The surrounding neighborhood is pretty run down, but hey, it's Rocky Point, and we did not feel unsafe. Would stay here again for sure. Lovely little place! Communication with owner was really good too.
We’ll definitely try to rent this home again.
Best area of Rocky Point. Close to night life, Old Port, Manny's and neighborhood shops. Fun for the family. Fireworks are legal on the beach east of the condo. Local women bring freshly made tortillas, burritos, and tamales to your patio most mornings. Shrimp fishermen come by or you can go to Old Port and get fresh seafood to BBQ on the patio. Local grocery, Super Lay, has good produce and interesting local selections. Convenience store, firewood and fireworks stores are right on the road into Playa Mirador condos. Sand dune 3 wheelers available to rent, ultra lite flying, banana boat rides, watch the dolphins from the patio, scuba, sail, fish, dinner cruise. The best activity is to sit on the patio and just enjoy the view!
