Apartment, 1 Queen Bedroom + Convertible bed, 1 Bathroom
We moved from California to the Big Island of Hawaii in 1986. We love the slower paced island lifestyle, weather, and water activities. We have traveled extensively and would love to share what we think is one of the most beautiful places in the world with you.
Donna purchased this Apartment in 1999
Why Donna chose Kailua-Kona
Having lived at various other locations on the Kona Coast since 1986, we found our dream property in 1999, and call it 'our final resting place'. Our 1 acre coffee estate is situated at a perfect elevation, which offers a bit cooler temperature than at sea level. It is in a rural, quieter area, yet still just minutes away from town and the beach.
What makes this Apartment unique

Had a great time here! Coffee from the owner's farm was a unique feature. Beautifully appointed and close access to many attractions. I definitely would stay here again
Lovely Hawaiian Style Ohana, with perfect setup for the 3 of us!
Owners were very sweet, left the lights on for us...as we arrived late! Truly an ideal Kona getaway!
Holualoa stay-relaxing amid the Coffee and Avocado trees
Very beautifully situated in a secure and lush property on the cool highlands overlooking the ocean and surrounding area. We were here for only 4 nights, but would have gladly stayed longer if our schedule allowed. The house was fully equipped, tastefully decorated with Hawaiiana and very clean. Robbie and Donna went the extra mile in providing lots of information such as travel guides, brochures and their own hand written recommendations on just about anything, based on their experiences of 30 years living on the Big Island. We especially enjoyed the view from the patio, a veritable flowery tropical garden with the sounds of birds, cicadas and the occasional wild pig. My wife and myself were looking to experience a stay with a bit of the old Hawaii mixed with modern accoutrements, outside of the hotel scene, and we believe we experienced this during our stay here. We highly recommend experiencing a stay here.
A Wonderful Retreat!
Quiet, cool and removed from the hustle and bustle-this is the ultimate refuge. The hosts are charming and the accommodation is thoughtfully appointed. It is close to town and all shopping needs. Provides an unmatched view of the Pacific and amazing sunsets.
Relaxing time in the coolness of higher elevations. Only sounds we heard were frogs, birds and distant cars.
Volcano viewing, star gazing, manta snorkel/dive.
