Wonderful place to stay
Property was as described. It is a lovely little cottage and very peaceful. Owners were prompt in responding to questions. We would love to stay again in the future!
What a wonderful place to unwind and spend time together as a family!
All I have to say is that it was epic.
Charming and peaceful retreat
This cottage was exactly as described by the owners. A quaint, Maine cabin right on the water with amazing views. We stayed for a week and loved coming back to this place after busy days of exploring Acadia, Bar Harbor and the surrounding area. While small and rustic, it really was so well equipped with anything you could need during your stay. The owners were so nice to deal with and pretty much thought of all the touches that would make our stay in their cabin more enjoyable. Simple but very homey and charming decor. The location was just beautiful and so peaceful. We loved enjoying the views from the porch, deck or right down the stairs on the little beach. This place definitely added to our Maine experience and I would certainly stay again.
Our week at the cabin was perfect in every way. We spent time in Acadia most every day and the cabin was the perfect place to come and rest each evening. The sunrises and the night sky were wonderful. I loved the selection of books on Maine available at the cabin combined with the lack of television. Having the water so close made it so enjoyable whether we spent the evening skipping rocks, watercoloring, swimming or looking for sea life. We cooked and had what we needed in terms of cookware and utensils. We really couldn't have hoped for more and can't wait to come back to this lovely little spot.
If you are looking for a quiet rustic place away from the crowds, with a beautiful view - this is the place! We enjoyed our time in the cottage and found the drive to Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor convenient enough to do daily, while enjoying getting back to the quiet for evenings. The kitchen is well supplied so it is easy to prepare most any food you want to prepare on your own. We saw seals in the water outside the cottage on several mornings. The setting was very peaceful and safe. No complaints - would book this again, if we have a similar vacation planned in the future.
Other Activities: kayaking; short drive to Acadia National Park
