About Steve Shuss
My husband and are native Californians, met at the University of Nevada, Reno, married and have two grown sons. We moved from California to AZ in 1993 and have never looked back. My husband's grandparents were ranchers in AZ for many years. Our boys played a ton of golf going through high school and college. I have been in education administration for 37 years and Steve is in the aviation business. We have always wanted an escape from the summer heat in the valley and one particularly steamy day I called him from work and said I am taking tomorrow off and we are going to Flag to find a house. This house was the third one we looked at and instantly we knew it was the one. We have enjoyed wonderful family summers and Christmases in the snow. Our dog really loves the cooler weather and the chance to run free of a leash in the evenings on the golf course.
Steve Shuss purchased this House in 2011
Why Steve Shuss chose Flagstaff
Flagstaff has always been a town that we have loved. Our oldest son graduated from the Northern Arizona University so we had lots of opportunities to be in Flagstaff and enjoy all it has to offer. We wanted serenity yet close in to enjoy amenities. This home addressed it all.

Great location in Flagstaff!
Morning coffee on the deck overlooking the golf course, grilling with family, and close to hiking made for a great weekend stay!
Great spot in Flagstaff!
My family really enjoyed staying at Steve's vacation home. There were 3 adult couples and we each had our own spaces which worked out really well. The home was very clean and well appointed, comfortable beds and although it rained for most of our trip we even managed to enjoy the deck. We even saw elk and mule deer right out the back door.
The only big con is that the driveway is extremely steep and short and the garage is very small and tight so with two SUVs it was quite tricky to maneuver. Also the 4 of us sharing the downstairs bathroom agreed the shower didn't seem to work quite right.
Since we were in Flagstaff for a Celebration of Life for my husbands little brother we did not spend a lot of time in the home, but when we did we enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere, the deer on the golf course in the evenings and the early morning play time with the dogs. The house was clean and the beds comfy. We would stay there again.
Great house! We enjoyed Memorial Day weekend here!
Had a wonderful time at the home. Very nice to sit and watch the wild life on the deck!
2nd stay in this wonderful house
This is our second time to stay in this house. Very comfortable, clean and convenient. Owner is great as well!
Enjoy watching deer, elk, eagles and other wildlife among the pines as you sit on a large deck overlooking a large pond, golf course, and mountains. Close in location to historic Flagstaff and in the prestigious Continental Country Club area. Very easy access to great restaurants and a easy 2 hour drive to the Grand Canyon. Must sees are Walnut Canyon, Wupatki Sunset Crater Volcano and the Riordon Mansion.
