About Michele Coles
Grew up in Charlottetown, as a single Mom with 2 sons. Had this home built for us doing a lot of the manual labour myself, as a means to lower costs. During the summer it was being built I also worked at Avonlea Village, a tourist attraction, next door.
Michele Coles purchased this House in 2004
Why Michele Coles chose Green Gables
Within walking distance to Cavendish Beach, this year round home provides all the amenities of a tourist resort area without any of the hustle and bustle, as it is on a private road. Open fields behind the property present a wonderful place to walk as do the groomed paths of the Parks Canada Trails.
What makes this House unique
There is a lovely 2 person swing beneath an apple tree which is affords an excellent view of the setting sun, or a wonderful place to read a book. As well, there is a hammock in the shade in a quiet area of the yard under some trees. And one of our favorite things is to have a camp fire and sit in the swing.

Amazing home! Highly recommend!
I stayed here for 9 days in August 2019. We were 4 adults and 3 children. Everyone had lots of space. The kitchen and bathrooms were modern and spotless. The bedroom clean and comfortable. The property is well maintained and obviously cared for. Our host was accommodating and on point.
This is a beautiful area to visit. Many activities for families. Definitely recommend.
Property was perfect for our grown up family of seven to enjoy. Everything and more was provided when we arrived. A beautiful private setting, plenty of space inside and out, including decks and yard with pretty gardens, clothesline, grill, and a fire pit to enjoy! No A/C, but open the windows and enjoy the beautiful Cavendish air! Great (walkable) location to attractions, golf, shopping, beach and restaurants. Manager very friendly, welcoming and gave good suggestions for us first timers to the Island! I'd recommend sneakers, kayak/SUP and a bike! The Island is beautiful. We'd go back in a heartbeat!
Very nice and well kept.
We had a great time and Michelle gave us some really great advice. Would definitely stay again. Found it to be middle of the island and was easy to get around. One thing could be improved and that would be the sticking of some of the bedroom doors. Thanks again Michelle.
Lovely Stay in Cozy Cavendish Cottage
We loved staying at this cute cottage in Cavendish. It was handy to be so close to the amenities of Cavendish and we appreciated having use of a park pass to enjoy the nearby beaches. We enjoyed many happy hours relaxing on the deck visiting with one another, bird watching and snoozing. The house was clean and cozy and had everything we needed - wifi, cable tv, cooking and bbq utensils, laundry detergent, etc. Michelle was a hospitable host and very accommodating and we'd love stay at her cottage again!
Amazing home away from home
Michele made every effort to make us feel at home and welcome. Every area of the yard and house has her unique touch to induce a smile. The property is well maintained and very clean. Michele was great to give recommendations for various things to do during our stay, good places to eat, beaches to go to etc. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to visit again sometime. Thanks for an amazing experience!
Lovely Summer home!
We stayed in this lovely summer home in early August, 2017. We were 4 adults and one 2 year old. The 2 year old was able to master the stairs quickly which was a plus as I'd worried about them. The property is large and beautifully gardened. We spent much of our time in one of its many seating areas and particularly appreciated the firepit. The kitchen was well stocked and included basics like salt, pepper,.etc plus unopened things that had been left by other guests which we appreciated. Also laundry supplies were included and appreciated. Avonlea Village is walking distance from this house and we went several times for snacks, treat and a lunch or 2. Cavendish beach was a short drive away and was lovely. We went to 2 lobster suppers: The New Glasgow Lobster Supper was fantastic. The Fisherman's Wharf supper was also good but a 4 star versus New Glasgow which was a 5. The Cavendish Beach Music Festival grounds are directly behind this property making it ideal if you are going!
Our hosts Michele and Doug were super to work with and went way above and beyond to get prescription drugs I'd forgotten back to us before our flight departed! Amazing.
We hope to get back to the Island for another visit here soon!
