We have been travelling to the Algarve for 30 years, and so when an opportunity came to purchase an apartment near the sea and shops I jumped at the chance! It has proved a super investment and not only do we rent it out but use it ourselves several times a year.

Absolutely perfect for us!!
From start to finish the communication with Derek (owner) and Terry (manager in Portugal) was brilliant; full of advice and answered every question we asked.
We were able to check in early as the family before us left the day before so that was brilliant.
The property itself was just perfect for our family (of 2 adults and 2 small children) not just in size but facilities too. Having the extra bathroom was great. The kitchen had all the accessories you would need and there was even basics left there such as cooking oil and washing up liquid, even coffee and tea!!
The gated pool and play area are metres from your front door which we found great and the kids loved it. The pool was amazing for small children as one is only shallow and my youngest could go in without armbands (under constant supervision!!) and his confidence grew as a result. The larger pool was great for diving, playing and had plenty if room even when it got busier around mid afternoon. Both were immaculately clean as were the grounds.
The front door is extremely secure having a 4 bolt lock so you can feel super safe being on the ground floor. The back is more first floor due the ground being on a hill and was super secure too. The safe is a good bonus. I was at peace with everything and never needed anything more.
There's a coffee and pastry shop just down the stairs at the back of the grounds which does beautiful coffee. We got takeaway cups for round the pool. There is an Aldi 250m from the back also. We used Uber as a preference over the cab office just by the pastry shop although they were great when we did use them in the first 2 days but Uber were alot cheaper and arrived within 3 minutes usually.
The closest beaches (Galé and Salgados) were beautiful, clean and we always found a good spot with plenty of eateries in reach.
We would be happy to return anytime!!!

An amazing place to stay close to all amenities and within a short distance of all that is great on the algarve - strongly recommend the property and the owner to anyone looking for an amazing place to stay - 10 out of 10 !

Nice 2 roomy bedroom property, exactly as described.
Top and bottom gate
Our only issue was the bottom gate did not work all week. The top gate did not work Sunday on arriving. Other than that all okay.
We enjoyed our stay. The location was super, very close to most of the interesting places like the Marina Albufeira, Zoo marine and Lagoa was closeby by car. I would recommend the waterpacks in Lagoa, the kids had lots of fun there. This are is close to beautiful beaches.
Not quite luxury. Construction work in the complex.
Is is advertised as a luxury 2 bedroom apartment. This is why I think it isn't luxury.
- Only 3 of the 4 rings on the hob worked.
- The one external shutter, did not go fully up, so every time you went to the balcony, you had to duck.
- Is bathrooms were not as clean as they could be, (everywhere else was fine)
- For me the beds were hard and very creaky, I had a bad back most morning's (Other people might like a hard bed, just not me)
Now for the good points
- The kitchen was well equipped (even had, tea, coffee, salt, pepper, oil etc.)
- A good choice of TV channels
- You own underground parking space
- 25 minute walk to the beach (Gale beach was our favourite)
- a great pool, though it was a little cold in October.
- Cabanitas bar opposite
Our general overview.
The apartment was a little noisy, as it is near a busy road junction, but most of the noise came from the complex itself as there was construction work going on for 5 days out of our 7 night stay (they only stopped at the weekend). Jack-hammers were going off from 8AM to 5PM most days. I do realise that this work had to be done, but I am sure they would have given the owners plenty of notice and we should have been informed before we travelled, NOT when we arrived.
I am certain that I would have given it a higher rating, if the construction work wasn't happening, but from the state the site was in when we left (18/10/18), I would say there is another couple of weeks work, but maybe less noisy.
We still had a great holiday, but it could have been so much better.
The big attraction is the proximity of three fun beaches only minutes away by car. Galé is the biggest and most popular. They are ideal for children and safe. Restaurants and snack bars are situated on neighbouring streets, and there is an on-site coffee shop selling snacks and pastries. The nearest supermarket, Apolonia, is just 4-5 mins up the road. A ten minute drive takes you to the Algarve Shopping Centre where there's a huge Continente supermarket, Worten, an electrical retailer and mobile phone shops to name just a few. There's branches of Zara, Pull & Bear, H & M, C&A, a cinema, many child-friendly restaurants and a variety of other shops. The neighbouring Designer Outlet feature Nike, Conforama, and Casa. A relatively new shopping centre opened last year, Mar Shopping and is next to the new Ikea outlet. It also houses many many famous brand retailers including Mango, and Sfera (part of the El Corte Inglés chain). For children, there's ZooMarine where you can interact with dolphins, under 10 mins away by car, and Aqualand waterpark 15 mins by car. Other attractions off the main airport road are the markets which take place once a week in each of the local villages. Loulé next to the airport opens every Saturday morning where you can buy cheap clothes, and household items. Albufeira and its marina are just down the road, and the city has a superb night-life for youngsters and teenagers; it also hosts its own beaches and restaurants. Salgados golfcourse is 5 mins away, and there are several other well-known courses in the region and within driving distance
