About Mary LemMon
History: Originally built in 1993 as a family home, and owned by 2 other owners since. Mary and John purchased the home in December of 2011, and made renovations during the winter and spring of 2012. The home consists of a Living Room, Dining Room, Kitchen, Breakfast Room, Family/Sun Room, and a glass atrium with built in heated pool. There were three bedrooms, two bathrooms and a finished attic. After renovations, the first floor remains the same, however there was a hot tub added to the Atrium. The 2nd floor was transformed into three suites with bathrooms, and 3rd floor transformed into 2 bedrooms for the families with 4 twin beds and 2 queen beds.
Mary LemMon purchased this House in 2010
Why Mary LemMon chose West Paris
Imagine sitting on top of a mountain with a 180 degree view of the white mountains, the valley, and the Western Maine Mountains. The sun is shining, a cool breeze sweeping across your face, leaves fluttering on the trees, hawks and eagles riding the wind currents from the valley below. Picture snow capped Mount Washington in the winter welcoming you every day. Imagine that, plus all the amenities you could possibly want – including a heated Atrium with a in-ground pool (heated in winter only) and hot tub that allows you to enjoy the view with a glass of wine and sunset without the outside elements in the winter! Enjoy iPads in each suite for your use , HD flat screen TVs with Bose Surround Sound, Free WIFI, an intimate private bar overlooking the pool and hot tub with spectacular views, luxurious linens, all combined to create an experience that is unforgettable. The home sits on 52 acres, some which are wooded with trails, some that are open meadows leading to the large spring fed pond. Imagine relaxing on the dock at the pond enjoying the views, or trying your luck at fishing. Spend the day hiking the trails searching for Tourmaline which is abundant in this area. During the winter season put on your snow shoes and take a walk during a full moon into the meadow and get lost in the galaxy of stars that explode overhead. Cross Country Skiers can silently glide through the trails allowing you the opportunity to see the abundant wild life and if you are lucky, maybe a moose. For the more adventurous, snowmobile the trails that cross the Inn property and connect to the State trails. Ride your ATV on the Inn’s groomed trails, or explore the state ATV trails, which are also accessible from the Inn. All of this in one place. It may be hard for you to pull yourself away from our views and amenities, however, there are a multitude of activities in the area for all four seasons that you will enjoy.

Our family enjoyed our stay despite rainy weather. Thank you to our hosts
We rented this property for labor day weekend and we had a wonderful time. The views are amazing! We spent most of our time at the outdoor BBQ area and the indoor pool/jacuzzi.
Spectacular views, have everything you’d need, games, football, cards, pots and utensils for grilling
The Best Family Getaway, Ever!
The best family getaway, ever! We absolutely enjoyed our time on this property - Summer 2018. Other than a trip to the grocery store, there was no need to leave this property. The house is beautiful and clean. The layout and space were perfect for our group of 15 (ages ranged from 3 - 70). It had everything we needed. This was a wonderful retreat to celebrate our Dad's 70th birthday. The views are breathtaking. The owners are very friendly, gracious and helpful. They were available when we needed them, and responded right away to our requests. The memories from this trip are priceless. We would love to return to do it all over again! - Karen
At the Top of the World Place!
As soon as we arrived we were oewd by the views. It felt as if we were at the top of the world! The property was amazing and the greens well groomed. Our purpose was to retreat from everyday life with yoga, meditation, and massages. It was a perfect location for our purpose. We did yoga to the rising sun out on the deck! The interior was pleasant and provided just enough space for all our large group activities. The hot tub and swimming pool were great additional luxuries.
The only downfall were the hiking trails, which were very short. It created an issue because it was supposed to be part of our activities. The 2 of the 16 beds were blow up mattresses! Also the 2 rooms located on the 3 level and housed the most people (10 people) had no bathrooms. The occupants had to go down to the first level to use the toilet. The 3 other bathrooms had showers but were attached to bedrooms. Regardless of these little glitches we enjoyed our stay tremendously.
Thank you so much for your review. We loved having you as our guests. I guess there may have been some confusion about the walking/hiking trails, and the bathrooms. We have walking trails around the property, however we mentioned to you that the long hiking trail is behind our property that goes on for miles. We wish you would have mentioned that to us and we would have directed you to the correct trail. We would also like to mention that it is stated the two bedrooms on the 3rd floor do not have bathrooms, and they must share with the 3 bathrooms on the 2nd floor. This is for showers only, and there are 2 bathrooms on the 1st floor.
We are centrally located between South Paris and Bethel. We are a short distance to the Oxford Casino south, and Sunday River recreational area to the North. There are many fine restaurants in the area. In the winter guests are welcome to bring their snowmobiles as we are on the Town Snowmobile Trails. ATVs also welcome.
