Oceanfront Retreat The Cove Studio - Pet friendly

This studio apartment is part of a unique retreat that has the main residence and two fully self contained apartments. Guests and their pets have full access to all of the shared outside areas. Our guests love the peace and tranquility of The Cove so please do not ask others to visit without asking permission as everyone enjoys their privacy. The property is right on the oceanfront at Coral Cove. This tranquil, tropical property has a large pool, fire pit, outdoor entertainment bbq area, a gazebo and a beautiful deck all overlooking the ocean. The backyard is fully fenced making it wonderful for pets. We just ask that they are not left unattended. Please let us know if you are bringing a pet with you. We have a great list of pet friendly ideas. The rock pools in front of the deck are fun to explore. The Studio Apartment has a queen bed in the bedroom with lovely
ocean views, a bathroom, kitchenette and a large lounge. There is quaint courtyard beside the apartment. The tidal swimming lagoon is two minutes walk away and it is a picturesque walk to Barolin Rocks. The lagoon has bbq facilities and amenities making it perfect for group gatherings. There is a bakery/cafe and convenience shop closeby and it is 15 minute drive to the turtle rookery at Mon Repos. It is turtle season at the moment and the nightly tour is a great experience. Be sure to book in advance. There are wonderful snorkelling and diving trips to Lady Musgrave and Lady Elliot Island. There are two golf courses closeby and lots of interesting places to visit around Bundaberg. Sandhills Sports Club runs a courtesy bus Wednesday through to Saturday nights. Elliot Heads bowls club, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Bargara Lakes Tavern Friday and Saturday.

Hidden Gem 💎

My husband & I along with our 2 pugs stayed in the studio. We loved the location & the large outdoor BBQ area. We spent most of our time out there listening to the waves crash onto the rocks. Corinne was wonderful in giving us tips on where to visit that were dog friendly. We will definitely be back.

We loved the fact that the house is situated right on the oceanfront. The outdoor areas are amazing. So many areas to sit and relax and gaze out over the water...with the added advantage to swim in the pool. There is no beach to speak of...but that has it's own advantages...because the ocean front is very private. The upstairs apartment was very clean and well suited to our needs. We loved our stay and will return in the future.

This is a truly beautiful setting. The gardens and grounds have a barbecue area and an elevated sun deck overlooking the ocean. A lower sun deck next to the ocean is peaceful place to sit and chill. The Studio is very well equipped with everything you could need for a short stay. The host Corinne and Bill are very accommodating and have a wealth of local knowledge. We would certainly stay here again if the opportunity arises.

Fantastic location and property

My newly husband and I stayed at the property for two nights to celebrate a short honeymoon and his birthday. We were both utterly surprised when we arrived and there was a bottle of champagne and a hand-written note on the table for us. We were warmly welcomed by the hostesses and their friendly dog Coco, and were given several suggestions of places we should go to during our stay. The view of the ocean from the communal patio was breathtakingly beautiful. The surrounding area was quiet and peaceful and it was a bliss to sleep to the ocean waves’ sound. My husband is gluten intolerant and the hostesses went out of their way to provide us with gluten free bread as part of our continental breakfast supplies. We highly recommend the property and couldn’t appraise highly enough the service delivery.

The studio was exactly what we needed, clean comfortable and a pleasure to stay, no need to go anywhere, just a book , a glass of wine, my husband and my dog. Perfect! Our hosts where friendly, helpful and caring, but gave us as much privacy as we needed, all together fabulous
