About Dallas Byers and Susan Byers
We have lived in Summit County since 1986. We built our dream home in 2004.
Dallas Byers and Susan Byers purchased this House in 2003
Why Dallas Byers and Susan Byers chose Three Peaks
This property is a one of a kind! I am a builder and when this lot became available we purchased it because of the seclusion and natural beauty, but the location and easy access to all that Summit County has to offer is only minutes away.
What makes this House unique
This is a true Colorado custom Log home sitting on 2.5 acres of lush spruce and aspen trees. The views are unbelievable. You can have dinner while looking at the lights of Keystone Mountain in the winter and in the summer and fall you can barbeque on the covered deck and listen to the stream running next to the home.

Perfect Christmas in the perfect home!
As soon as we walked into the house, it felt just like home! Everything was perfect! Extremely clean and I am a very picky person. Absolutely everything we needed was there. The location is great, very private but easy enough to get to stores and restaurants! Our Christmas here couldn’t have been any better! Fantastic home!!!!
Gorgeous summer stay!
This home was so amazing! It had so many spaces to enjoy. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. The landscaping was spectacular. It is large enough to accommodate several families; but still feels so comfortable. Everyone, including the kids, really enjoyed this house. The owners gave us their cell phone number and were incredibly responsive to us. Will definitely stay here again!
We rented this beautiful house for a family reunion and it more than met our needs. The living areas (dining, living room, deck, etc.) had enough seating for everyone. The master suite was huge and the other 3 bedrooms were of a good size, each with its own bathroom. The house is beautifully decorated and appropriate for a log home. There is a small stream next to the grass area that was wonderful for the kids and was very nice to sit next to on the flagstone sitting are and just listen to the running water. Since the house is on a dead end street with 2 other houses, it was very quiet and private.
Our interaction with the owner was excellent. He returned emails and texts almost immediately with helpful information. The directions for how to use the all the amenities of the house were excellent.
If we were to return to this area, we would definitely look into renting this house again. I would have no hesitation in working with the owners again.
Loved our stay
This is a stunning property at 9200 feet with no visible neighbors backing to wilderness. Highly recommend.
City introverts’ perfect getaway
When I go to Colorado I want peace and quiet, beautiful scenery, and proximity to hiking trailheads, groceries, etc. This property absolutely delivered on all counts. It’s situated on a lot where you can’t see neighbors, so you have beautiful views from every window. It’s on a private drive so it’s quiet, but there are trailheads less than 5 minutes away and across from the neighborhood entrance is access to a paved walking/biking trail that runs along the river. We also loved that everything we needed from a shopping perspective was just minutes away too. The house itself is beautiful and everything worked properly. The kitchen was a dream to cook in. And the back deck and the seating area next to the stream that runs alongside the house were idyllic. We saw a variety of wildlife too. We would absolutely go back.
There were only 3 negatives from our stay:
1) The beds are firm - could be a positive or negative depending on your preference
2) There are no blinds or window coverings of any kind - okay from a privacy perspective given the location, but for us it meant going to bed when the sun went down since the sun shines right into the master bedroom when it comes up
3) We had an issue with wasps mysteriously getting in each afternoon, but the owner was responsive to my text messages and has undoubtedly remedied that since our stay.
Those are literally the only negatives from our stay. I highly recommend this property and Silverthorne!
Great family retreat
This was the perfect home for our family of 8. We were there the week after christmas for our family ski trip. The house was beautiful. There was plenty of room for everypne. The amenities at this home are second to none. The kitchen had everything you needed to cook any meal you migjt want. We even took advantage of the grill on 5he back deck. The two car garage was one of the best features. We kept both vehicles toasty all nigjt. My kids had a blast with the sleds. We rent a large home in this area every year. This home was our favorite by far. We hope to return here next year. Thanks Dallas and Susan for sharing your beautful home. Oh forgot to mention that the owners were awesome to deal with as well.
