About Steve McComb
We live next door to the cabin in the main house. The cabin has been on the property for about 50 years, hunters used to come up and stay in the cabin to hunt. The area is called Moose Meadows. When we bought the property the cabin was just a shell and we have been working on it for about 8 years. We put in a bathroom, kitchen cabinets, flooring and insulation in the ceiling. We hope you enjoy your stay with us.
Steve McComb purchased this Cabin in 1992

Beautiful setting and very clean cabin. Every amenity needed was present. Very friendly and hospitable owner. Looking forward to returning in the summer.
In love with Moose Meadow
What a relaxing stay at Moose Meadow cabin... we had everything we needed and more. Steve was super! We will definitely be back. We are gonna miss sitting on the porch looking at that beautiful view😀
What an amazing place, beautiful, peaceful. My 5yo loved it. Steve was a wonderful host. Loved it.
Easy rental, all information was there at booking. . Plus any additional specific questions, I just contacted the property owner.
This is a peaceful location in the woods. A nice grass front lawn and views up the nearby hillside. Coffee on the front porch is so quiet and lovely. Drive to Whitefish just 20 mins. Tally Lake just down the road, rent a canoe from the campground. Host Steve was friendly and helpful. Everything you’ll need is in the the cabin. Steve will lend you some bear spray if you think you need it. We borrowed it for our UTV trail ride with Flathead Offroad...no bears.😕. Just a note, the comfy king bed is upstairs and the bathroom is downstairs (middle of the night bathroom trips just an little tricky for older folks😊 ) You’ll see lots and lots of deer along Tally Road, drive carefully. Good WIFI at cabin. Cell signal on AT&T weak. Don’t miss the National Bison Range. We had 10 bison walk across the road directly in-front of our car, great photos.
Beautiful property with very gracious host, Steve. Wonderful suggestions for places to eat and visit. And- the best cat ever!!! Thanks, Steve!
My stay at the Rustic Cabin
The property was everything that was listed on VRBO. Steve was available to answer any questions that I had. The property was very quiet and set up with everything that we needed. We saw one deer at the property and several while we were driving up to the property. Drove up to Glacier National Park one day and spent some time at Whitefish Lake. I recommend taking the ski lift at the Whitefish Mountain resort and taking a little hike at the top.
