About this property

Tropical Paradise in NY Palm Trees,

Blue Heron Cottage. Palm trees on the beach. @ bottles of wine and Cheese and Crackers our compliments.
The Blue Heron cottage offers the best of both worlds. The front of the cottage sits on a sandy beach with Lake Ontario rolling in the waves. The sunsets on the beach are spectacular. There you can spot one of the many Bald Eagles fishing in the lake. Or maybe you want to watch the sailboat races right out front on the lake. Plenty of body surfing and swimming. The back of this wonderful cottage sits on Sodus Bay. The water is calm and great for swimming and fishing, water skiing and all kinds of water sports. All our cottages are accessible by boat only and we take you and your things in and back out when you leave on a 24' pontoon boat. Once there you have a 14' motor boat to get around on. All the
restaurants have docks. So you can shop and eat without ever getting back into your car. It's a BLAST! You will love it here!

This cottage has a 30' dock and comes with a 14ft aluminum boat with 4 stroke 10 hp outboard motor. (gas will be$15.00 for the week unlimited refills) The beds are made with sheets only, you bring pillows, towels and blankets as of Covid-19 new rules. There is endless toilet paper, 2 rolls of paper towels and much more. The kitchen has it all. fully equipped with the latest cooking utensils. There is a Bunn coffee maker for large pots and a K-cup coffee maker for a cup on the run. Washer and dryer is included
This is simply the best rental location on Sodus Bay.

This charming vacation retreat is located within minutes of eight waterfront restaurants and several marinas. It is also near historic Sodus Point, which features a sandy beach on Lake Ontario, two light houses, and maritime museum.

This cottage includes a master bedroom with Queen-size bed, second bedroom with full-size bed, third bedroom with two sets of twin bunkbeds. SEE ALL FOUR OF OUR COTTAGES:

Beautiful setting
What a gem crescent beach is! We stayed at the property with 7 people, me, my wife, our 4 children (ages 12, 10, 6 and 3), and my mom. The beach and bay are beautiful and the property is as described, with access to both out of your front door and back door. Its a bit rustic, but we expected that based on prior descriptions from other renters. The cottage needs a little work and updates, but again, we felt like everything was what we expected, and loved the one in a million location. We rented a bigger boat from Fowler’s to do tubing and fun in the bay, and I highly recommend doing that! Our kids had a blast. We made incredible memories, and Martha and Scott were generous, kind and caring owners- and were amazing hosts all weekend.

Really enjoyed our stay! Gorgeous area, well stocked home, great communication. Loved tooling around on the boat, fishing, boating in to restaurants, kayaking, listening to the waves!

Loved it
Perfect location. Loved having access to a boat. Martha even let us have the pontoon boat one day since we were celebrating an anniversary - which an incredibly generous gesture. We were greeted with wine and cheese and our entire trip was remarkable. Martha was an amazingly friendly and generous host.

Beautiful sunsets
Spectacular getaway for a couple of days. Great location, only set back Stony Beach. Although it did not affect our stay it may with someone expecting sand beach. The Hosts we're more than willing to accommodate their guests. Highly recommended Thanks Scott and Martha.

About the host

Scott and Martha are retired and living the dream!
We spend our summers here on the same beach as our rentals. We love serving the needs of our guest. Our goal is to make your vacation the very best ever. We spend our winters in the Caribbean on the Island of St Thomas. There, we spend our time hosting to our friends and family who come to visit. There is always plenty of room and plenty to eat at our house!

Why they chose this property

Scott grew up out here on Crescent Beach. Since 1960, Scott used to camp out here on the beach when there were no cottages at all. In 1989 Scott started developing the beach to share his paradise with others. There is no other place like this in NY. The sunsets are considered to be in the top ten in the world! There is no road access to the beach which is one of the best features! It's just a 5 minute boat ride from our marina. It is very private and beautiful! You will love it here!

What makes this property unique

Sit on the deck and watch your children swim, kayak, canoe or just play on the beach which is ten feet from the deck. Enjoy a camp fire on the bay in your private fire pit.
