About Jack Beyer
This is the family resort you've been looking for. So much to do and enjoy and then back home to the condo to rest up for the next day. We raised our 3 boys there and continue to use it ourselves in the Fall and Spring. The resort is extremely well maintained year round. For families with children this is an ideal spot. There usually is a free morning activity camp for kids in the play ground area. You and the kids will also enjoy the 9 hole miniature golf course, basketball, tennis, and water slide. If the weather is bad or the surf too rough, there is the heated indoor pool and 8 person spa. Like to cook out? Visit the many modern BBQ grills. And finally, the resort is private with full, around the clock, on site security.

What makes this Condo unique
This is a very unique spot. It's not touristy and congested like say Myrtle Beach, yet you don't miss out on the amenities. This resort has the only water slide for miles. Free tennis, basketball, miniature golf, bbq grills, and hot tubs. Need a water board, basketball, tennis racket, putting iron? Just borrow one from the activity center.

Great vacation spot
We had a wonderful week at this property. Maintenance came to check on us to make sure we were satisfied. I did not give 5 stars because the beds were squeaky and were a bit sagging.
Very Nice Clean! Property
We love "A place at the beach" Perfect place if you have young children. Great pool for all ages and beach is very close. Jack's Condo is in a great location. Easy quick access to pool. It is very nice and clean with updated kitchen and furniture.
Small but okay for two kids
It had relatively everything we needed, and the space felt clean. Access to the beach and pool was easy and convenient and the entire resort had a lot of perks and amenities that were geared to making the week enjoyable. My kids, 8 and 5, loved the water slide and the pool. The master bed was not very comfortable and made a lot of noise and that would be the one thing I think should be updated on the property. The galley kitchen made the space seem small, but we were able to cook several meals there and had the essentials we needed for the week.
This is a great family place. So many kids activities and plenty of swimming fun for kids.
had a great time!
Condo was just as pictured on the website. Able to see the ocean from the balcony--loved it! Property owner was very quickly responsive...he called us before we got there to let us know a plumber would be coming to fix the shower head in the bathroom that was broken from previous tenants. Fixed just after we had arrived. :) Kitchen could use a cutting board if you like to cook and wish we could have eaten outside by the pool, but the flies were too bad. Maybe it was the just the time of the year.
July 2019 Beach Trip
We had a really good time at A Place at the Beach. The owner answered my questions right away. The condo was a little smaller than we thought, and was older, but it was well maintained, clean, and comfortable. The board walk to the beach was great and the outdoor pool was really nice. The only complaint I had was that the beds were noisy, every time you moved the creaked, other than that, they were comfortable. We would definitely go back.
A Place At The Beach is located a mile from Fort Macon State Park, an
important Civil War fort that
was captured by Union forces in April, 1862. The beaches it once
guarded are now available for your
sea shell hunting, swimming, and fishing. It's a fun outting to
amble up the beach from the condo
to the Fort hunting for shells and whatever the ocean waves brought a
shore after the last tide.
